Plastic Injection Mold Making
We are a custom mold maker, injection molder, we do mold design, injection mold making, injection molding, secondary process, packing, and shipping etc. We can not only make injection molds for export, but also manufacturing injection molds for injection molding in-house. We have our own well-equipped injection mold making and injection molding plant.
For injection molds for export, it is designed and made to adopt the molder’s machine in Europe or America. We have more than 10 years experience in exporting molds to global area, such as Europe and America. We are familiar with the injection mold making standards in Europe and America, the HASCO and DME standard. Most of the European and American mold standard parts only use "DME" and "HASCO". European countries usually use "HASCO", while North America usually use "DME". So mold shipped to Europe must be in HASCO standard, mold shipped to America must be DME standard. Mold in Asia usually LKM standard.
For injection molds for injection molding in-house, it is designed and made to adopt to the machine of our injection molding factory, we usually design the mold in LKM. We have our own injection mold making & injection molding factory in China, we are fully capable of in mold manufacturing and injection molding in house.
Before injection mold making, we will did DFM for manufacturability, which can give you a brief idea about the mold design structure.
Once DFM is approved by customer, we start mold design in 3d. Common mold design software that ACO Mold use: UG, Pro/Engineer, AutoCAD, Cimatron, PowerMill Hypermill, Solidworks. After mold design, we start injection mold making.
Talking about injection mold making, we have to talk about mold material selection. The quality and performance of mold steel material has direct influence on mold quality and use. There are three principles that mold material should meet: The work requirements of wear resistance, toughness, etc, the molding process requirements, the economic applicability requirements. The so-called economic applicability means that trying to lower down injection mold making cost under premise of ensuring mold quality and mold service life, reducing the budget for our customer. For example, if your order is low volume production or the mold service life is required to be 10 thousands times, there is no need to use mold materials with higher life. It will be a waste. Mold materials that ACO Mold use including but not limit to: 1.2344, 12343, S136, LKM2316, LKM738H, 1.2083, 1.2312, 1.1730, H13, P20, MOLDMAX-HH.
Mold structure although varied with the plastic type and performance, the shape and structure of plastic parts, and the injection molding machine type, the mold basic structure is consistent. Injection mold mainly consist of gating system, temperature adjustment system, molding parts, and structure parts. Among them, gating system and molding part directly get in touch with plastic and vary with plastic and plastic part. They are the most complex and most varied part of the mold, requiring the highest polishing and precision.
Injection mold consists of many components. Mold steel materials should go through roughing machining, heat treatment, and finishing. At last, perform mold fitting by fitter. How about the quality of plastic parts produced by injection molds? We need know it via mold trial. Mold trial is the last step in injection mold making. We ship the sample (T1 sample) to customer for verifying and approving. Once samples are approved by customer, we can start large volume injection molding. If no approve, we need improve according to customer's requirements. Then sampling once again until samples are approved by customer.
